Jelajah Semenanjung Dewi Yamaha: A Journey of Empowerment and Adventure

On August 18, 2024, the Jelajah Semenanjung Dewi Yamaha convoy, organized by Hong Leong Yamaha Malaysia, set off on an inspiring journey across Malaysia. This event highlighted the talents of ten exceptional female riders, demonstrating that women could achieve greatness in motorcycling.

Puan Hamidah, a representative from New Chen Motor Credit Sdn Bhd and a 50-year-old rider, was one of the convoy riders, proving that passion and skill in motorcycling transcend age. Her involvement reflected New Chen Motor’s long-standing commitment to supporting and empowering women in the sport.

The convoy, which consisted of ten riders and five marshals, traveled through Malaysia’s diverse landscapes, from scenic highlands to vibrant cities, from Johor to Kelantan. Each leg of the journey presented new challenges and stunning views, showcasing the country's natural beauty and cultural diversity.

The flag-off ceremony in Tanjung Piai was a highlight, officiated by YB Dato' Seri Wee Jeck Seng, Ahli Parlimen Tanjung Piai, with notable presence from the Dewi Yamaha JB group. The event’s slogan, "Bijak! Berani! Siap Sedia! Serlahkan Dewi Dalaman Anda," captured the spirit of Yamaha's "Revs Your Heart."

The adventure concluded on August 24 at the Genblu Carnival in Bandar Medini, Iskandar Puteri, Johor. This grand event celebrated the riders' achievements and marked the end of their incredible journey, highlighting the empowering message that women could excel in motorcycling and inspiring others to pursue their own passions with determination and courage.

As the program comes to a close, we hope that Jelajah Semenanjung Dewi Yamaha will continue in the years to come, with the same dedication to empowering women and celebrating their achievements in motorcycling.
