Podium Success: New Chen Motorsports Takes 3rd Place In Petronas Cub Prix Round 7

New Chen Motorsports delivered a great performance at Round 7 of the Petronas Cub Prix, in Aeon Credit Service Yamaha 135LC Tekhne Challenge, earning a strong 3rd place finish. The event, held on Sunday of 31st August 2024, gathered some of the best young racing talent in Malaysia, all competing for top spots in the country’s premier motorcycle racing series.

Representing New Chen Motorsports , Ahmad Shakir Abdullah (No. 18) rode his green and purple motorbike with skill and determination. Starting at Grid 7, he maintained a steady pace in fifth place throughout the laps although he faced a close call – slightly scraping against rider No. 15 in the first lap. There was no doubt that the young rider gave fierce competition to the front-line racers.

In the 7th lap, with a calculated push and a burst of adrenaline, Ahmad Shakir made his move, surpassing two riders ahead and securing his spot in the top three. He handled the challenging track with confidence, despite facing tough competition from experienced racers. Ahmad Shakir’s ability to stay calm and follow a smart race plan paid off, securing him a well-deserved place on the podium.

This 3rd place finish is a big achievement for both Ahmad Shakir and New Chen Motorsports, showing the team’s steady improvement in the Petronas Cub Prix series. It highlights the hard work and dedication of the entire team, from the mechanics to the support staff.
